The linear actuator can be customized with 3 types of built-in limit switch signal output functions: 4-wire built-in limit switch NO signal output, 5-wire built-in limit switch NO signal output, and 6-wire built-in limit switch NC signal output. When the linear actuator moves to two end positions, it can output two independent feedback signals.

Type 1: Linear Actuator with Built-in Limit Switch Normally Open Signal Output (Four-core Wire)
When the linear actuator is fully retracted, the lower limit switch is triggered, and signal wire 2 (black wire) is connected to the negative pole of the power supply.
When the linear actuator is extended outward, the lower limit switch is reset, and signal wire 2 is disconnected from the negative pole of the power supply.
When the linear actuator is fully extended, the upper limit switch is triggered, signal wire 1 (red wire) is connected to the positive pole of the power supply. At this time the linear actuator automatically stops.
When the linear actuator is retracted inward, the upper limit switch is reset, and signal wire 1 is disconnected from the positive pole of the power supply.
When the linear actuator is fully retracted, the lower limit switch is triggered, signal wire 2 is connected to the negative pole of the power supply. At this time the linear actuator automatically stops.

Type 2: Linear Actuator with Built-in Limit Switch Normally Open Signal Output (Five-core Wire)
When the linear actuator is fully retracted, the lower limit switch is triggered, and signal wire 2 is connected to the common wire.
When the linear actuator is extended outward, the lower limit switch is reset, and signal wire 2 is disconnected from the common wire.
When the linear actuator is fully extended, the upper limit switch is triggered, and signal wire 1 is connected to the common wire.
When the linear actuator is retracted inward, the upper limit switch is reset, and signal wire 1 is disconnected from the common wire.
When the linear actuator is fully retracted, the lower limit switch is triggered, and signal wire 2 is connected to the common wire.

Note: The limit switches only output a signal when the linear actuator extends or retracts to the end position, but the linear actuator will not stop automatically. You must use an external controller or PLC to stop it. Otherwise, the motor will continue to run, which may eventually causing damage.

Type 3: Linear Actuator with Built-in Limit Switch Normally Closed Signal Output (Six-core Wire)

When the linear actuator is fully retracted, the lower limit switch is triggered, and signal wire 3 is disconnected from signal wire 4.
When the linear actuator is extended outward, the lower limit switch is reset, and signal wire 3 is connected to the signal wire 4.
When the linear actuator is fully extended, the upper limit switch is triggered, and signal wire 1 is disconnected from signal wire 2.
When the linear actuator is retracted inward, the upper limit switch is reset, and signal wire 1 is connected to signal wire 2.
When the linear actuator is fully retracted, the lower limit switch is triggered, and signal wire 3 is disconnected from signal wire 4.

Note: The limit switches only output a signal when the linear actuator extends or retracts to the end position, but the linear actuator will not stop automatically. You must use an external controller or PLC to stop it. Otherwise, the motor will continue to run, which may eventually causing damage.
